Wow!! What a great feeling to have students back in the building, teachers connecting and building relationships with students, and seeing Mapleton Middle School getting back to the business of in-person learning. It has been a long 5 ½ months since we last saw our students. As teachers welcomed students back and as I walked the halls and visited classroom, the smiles and laughter seen and heard from behind masked faces were evident. I want to thank all the students who came prepared and quickly adjusted to our new normal and a special thanks to all the parents who helped their child prepare for the first day back. Never hesitate to contact me or your child’s teacher if you should have any questions or concerns as we all make the necessary adjustments.
We recognize that many students are not able to join us for in-person learning. For those students and parents, we are still here for you. Just because you are not physically in the building does not mean that you are not still a Mapleton student. We are still here to help you in any way we can as you adjust to your new learning environment. Also, please remember that if you are 7th or 8th grade student you are still eligible to participate in any sport offered at Mapleton Middle School.
