MES Blood Drive

Friday, November 14, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM Mapleton Elementary will host the Red Cross Blood Drive.  Save a life and donate blood.  For more information about donating blood visit redcrossblood.org.

NO SCHOOL- Waiver Days

Mapleton will be having two waivers this school year for teacher in-services.  Students will have no school on Thursday, September 18th and Friday, February 13th.  Staff should report on these days.

Board of Education Regular Meeting

Mapleton Board of Education regular board meeting will be Monday, December 15th at 
7:30 p.m. in the Mapleton Middle School meeting room.

Little Mountie Preschool Enrollment

Mapleton Elementary School has openings for morning and afternoon public preschool sessions.  Preschool children must be 3 or 4 years old to attend.  Please call Mary Walter, secretary, at 419-945-2188 for a preschool application packet.  Openings filled on a first come, first serve basis.  Sliding fee scale available to qualifying families.

Child Find Statement

In an effort to serve young people with disabilities, Mapleton Local Schools is continually in process of locating and evaluating children from birth to 21 years of age who are suspected as having a disability.  Disabilities may include developmental delays, health impairments, autism, and traumatic brain injury.  Individuals may contact local school districts about children who may have a disablilty and may be eligible  for special education services. District superintendents ahve information available about special educatiobs policies and procedures.procedures in each building by contacting the building Principal.  If you have questions about the above-mentioned process, please call Dr. Nichole Witchey, Director of Special Education at Mapleton Local Schools, at 419-945-8180 or to Dr. Deborah Williams, Tri-County Educational Service Center, Director of Special Education at 330-345-6771, ext. 231.
